Rwanda with Richard... by Alison Fenning

FEB 2007| Rwanda

Richard and I went to Rwanda earlier this year. We toured the country preaching and teaching to various groups.

We spent most of the time in the capital city Kigali, but also travelled to rural areas too.

One of the things about RSVP is that we believe in preaching good news and being good news. One of the ways we do this is to always couple our Gifts of Hope program with our speaking programs when we are in Africa.

Gifts of Hope is a project which meets urgent needs. Most of our projects are development projects - like helping to build a school and an orphanage, or our child sponsorship scheme.

But some people can't wait for long term development. They are dying now. They are starving now. Some of them have AIDS. What they need is food... today. What they need is a mattress to sleep on... today. These and many other urgent needs are met by our partners who give to our
Gifts of Hope fund.
