God's word is absolutely clear in that if we really love Him we will obey His commands (John 14:15). There are no ifs, buts or maybes. If we really love Jesus then we cannot but be obedient.
Matthew 28:19 Jesus clearly tells us a primary command "Go into all the world (literally to all peoples) and make disciples" i.e. bring people to Jesus and then do all we can as individuals and as a church to grow in their relationship with the Lord developing the ministry and calling on their lives.
Matthew's translation can be translated or at the very least it incorporates "as you are going" i.e. these words of Jesus are not only a command, but an expectation.
Mark 16:15 echos the great commission and emphasises the command "Go to all peoples"
THE CALL IS CLEAR TO ALL OF US AS BORN AGAIN, BLOOD CLEANSED,
SPIRIT FILLED BELIEVERS
Going to all peoples / nations is totally different for us in 2008 and then 20, 30, 40 or more years ago, while I and the church are very mission minded reaching into other countries we do not need to travel across the world to all peoples. All peoples, nations, cultures have come to us - to our cities, towns, villages, communities, streets etc. We are indeed an international church.
When I first came to Elim-Ipswich back in 1992 we had only one African Caribbean lady in the congregation when I left we were just touching 17 different nationalities. Now we are close to representing 50 (fifty), this is just within the church.
HOWEVER, AGAIN THE CALL / THE CRY FROM HEAVEN TO ALL OF US AS BORN AGAIN, CLEANSED, SPIRIT FILLED, AND BIBLE BELIEVING FOLLOWERS OF JESUS IS ... GO!
